This morning I turned on Beyonce's music video as I was tidying up the bedroom and noticed Bang Bang staring intently at the computer screen. I turn my head the same way when I watch this music video because those dancing legs look absolutely banging.

I took my first visit to Bunker Hill in Charlestown on Saturday afternoon. I had originally planned on seeing some kind of "Ghost Dance" near Faneuil Hall, something that involved homemade ghost costumes and the Thriller soundtrack. I think I got to the time wrong because when we arrived at the park there was nothing to see. I had no choice but to stuff my face with cannoli and walk to Bunker Hill to burn off the calories.

I spent much of the morning cleaning out our closet, getting rid of empty boxes and my emergency coffee maker. When I came into the bedroom I noticed Charlotte had nestled into one of the boxes I was discarding. Now I'm in a predicament as to whether I should throw out the box, or her kitty bed that she never uses.

I snapped this shot today at a Pumpkin Festival that was held at the Government Center in Boston. I was feeling unmotivated today so I'm glad I was able to peel myself off the couch long enough to head downtown. There were so many pumpkins at the festival that the entire square smelled of fresh pumpkin. That smell eventually led to my purchase of a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks, 400 calories of pumpkin goodness.

The last couple of days have been incredibly warm and delightful in Boston. I learned yesterday that it was snowing in Utah and started feeling like I was one of God's chosen people. That will soon change, I'm sure, as I remember Boston's January to be much like my worst nightmare.
SML and I walked along the Charles River for the first time on Sunday afternoon, where I took this picture. I'm continually impressed by this city's green areas. SML and I talked about moving closer to the city to be near some of these fantastic places and stopped near Newbury Steet to look at some realty listings. After noticing the two thousand dollar one bedroom listings, a couple behind us asked if there was anything for three hundred dollars a month. SML replied, "We already took that one, but you're welcome to sublet it."

SML and I have an agreement that for every six days that he's doing homework and strewing every calculator he owns on our furniture, I'm entitled to one day of doing something together. That sounds a lot more sad than it is because we do generally spend the nights together, albeit behind different laptop screens.
We decided to spend Saturday in Salem, something I've been looking forward to since I saw 'The Crucible.' I'm a typical tourist in that I follow the painted red line on the sidewalks to wherever they lead and then drink the wine samples. Among the stops on the painted line were the House with Seven Gables, several witch museums and houses, and old graveyards.

I was particularly fascinated by the graveyard because of how inherently evil the tombstones look. I'm disappointed that my pictures aren't more clear because Salem was stunning. I'm seriously considering purchasing a new camera. I suggested this to SML who thinks I'm joking when I talk about dropping over $600 for a camera. It's all I can think about now after browsing Flickr and seeing some of the beautiful shots. I'm now starting to scheme a scenario in that we will have no choice but to buy, baby, buy.

Posting this picture is probably evidence that I have little to no life. That I model different hats on my cat. Or that I am little too excited for Halloween. I think most of it points to working from home might not be the best option for my sanity.

I took this photo the first couple of days that we moved to Massachusetts and I'm still having a hard time believing that I live here. This afternoon I amazed myself when I didn't stumble my way through the subway and pointed one of SML's classmates to their train transfer. They say you have to live here for something like seven years to become a real Bostonian and I think I'm well on my way. But if being a Bostonian requires that your pronounce car as, "Cah", I'll stick to being a Utahn.
