"Confusing what is real."

SML and I spent an incredible amount of time on creating his school’s website over the New Year because I didn’t quite understand Microsoft’s Internet Information Server. Installing compatible versions of PHP, MySQL and Joomla on IIS became a hurdle; especially when there was an instance when the total hard drive space available on the server was less than ten megabytes.

The fact that I’ve never worked with IIS before and that I’m not a designer by any means, it’s very fortunate that there is a website there at all. The site is still missing a few components, but we’re proud anyways because we proved to ourselves that we could work together and both come out of the experience without black eyes or missing limbs. The very fact that I didn’t catch the server on fire deserves an applause, really, because at point I began looking for a torch. And a hammer.
