| In Boston |

I’m going to preface this article and explain that I think Boston is an amazing city. It’s beautiful, really, with historic buildings and parks, things that I’ve only read about or seen in movies. This picture is the one of the very first I’ve taken of SML since we arrived in Boston.
We were on Bolyston Street because the very first place I wanted to go was the Apple Store. I felt like I needed that, more than my morning coffee, to see what the Apple Marketing Geniuses have done in Boston.
I really do think I’ll like this place, but I’ve got to give it time. One of the very first things that someone said to us was, “GET OUT OF THE WAY YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE.” That, on top of the increased prices and the FILTERED INTERNET at the Boston Common Library, has left me less than amused. Allston, the city we live in, has some kind of graffiti motto that reads, “Keep Allston Decent.” Decent? Not Great? Spectacular? Or Tidy? I laughed heartily at this because our train stop is littered with empty containers and wrappers but a trash receptacle? You have to go to the more decent parts of the city to throw away your trash. Most of my complaints stem from the fact that we have nothing in our apartment; that I want to write a terrible review for our moving company and then sue each representative of the company individually just to make them answer the Complaint. Tomorrow I’ll probably be in a much better mood, but my god, this city is kicking my ass.

... You know...I didn't want to say anything at brunch that morning. But, I sort of knew how the movers thing was going to play out. Sorry, bud. I feel your pain! And, the consolation is...you actually can't sue them! It's the biggest scam in America...well other than the whole war thing. |

... haha. Yeah. We've got about a week to go (so they say). I watch the fed's 'protect your move' sites' complaint board every day. It's not pretty. I'm blaming Dr. Laura for this! |
