My favorite part of the Oscars last night was when Ellen DeGeneres posed for a picture with Clint Eastwood for her Myspace. That and the airing of an Apple iPhone commercial. There might have also been a moment or two that I got drunk off of champagne and gripped the bottom of my seat cushion to prevent myself from springing off the couch to join Beyonce in her Dream Girls melody with Jennifer Hudson. SML’s friend Sarah invited us over to her Oscar party where I, as mentioned before, mostly drank champagne. When Melissa Etheridge sang her song from ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, SML reminded me about our conversation we had last week about Britney Spears and her shaved head. I had been convinced that Britney Spears shaved her head because it’s a fad and blurted out that it was a popular thing to do now since Melissa Etheridge shaved her head not too long ago. A moment of silence followed that remark until SML said, “She had CANCER.”
