"This train doesn't stop here..."

During this year’s Pride Parade, I marched with my QUAC swimming team. I didn’t dance in my Speedo but Eric, BA and I had a good time shaking our booties to Beyonce and handing out QUAC flyers to the crowd. I almost gave a flyer to one of the protestors whose sign read, “GOD DOESN’T LOVE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE” but I stopped short when I saw his pointed cowboy boots that could definitely kick someone’s (Ken’s) ass.

There was one protestor in a white lab coat and grey hair that kept trying to fit two sockets together of the same gender. After the sockets didn’t plug-in together, he’d raise his hands and say, “IT JUST DOESN’T WORK” and then he’d repeat himself and shake his head disapprovingly the way I shake my head after I order a cheeseburger at McDonald’s.

In all, there are only a handful of protestors that gather on the corner of State Street and South Temple. They’re the same protestors you find at the 4th of July Day festivities in Sugar House Park and sometimes protesting at the LDS Conference center. It seems everyone is going to hell these days. I can’t wait.

*I uploaded pictures from Pride to my Galleries.

**P.S. Quick Thank-you to the Pride Organizers and volunteers. Everyone worked really hard to pull it off.
