It's been awhile since I've updated, so I'd thought I'd give a shout out to the two people that read this blog. I'm in Utah for work, alone, because I couldn't convince SML to quit school and stay with me in Utah for a week. I feel strange in Utah because it's not my home anymore and Massachusetts doesn't really feel like home either. I'm in limbo, it seems. On Monday a gentleman was viewing the Mormon Temple and asked me some questions about the Church property and the religion. I'm completely biased on this subject so I tried to make everything sound as normal as possible. When he asked, "What's that large gothic looking building?", I answered, "That's the temple! They perform religious ceremonies there, like weddings." And then without warning I also spurt out, "AND they baptize the dead in there!" I stopped there, again because I'm biased. I controlled my sudden Turrets Syndrome for the remainder of the conversation, which I think that everyone who knows me would agree this is uncommon. To make things more comfortable I transitioned our conversation to the health care crisis.

... Honey, they don't baptize the dead. You know better than that. Please don't be that way, for my sake. Just apease me okay? |

... They call it 'Baptisms for the Dead', do they not? They read off dead people's names and then dunk a living person under the water. I didn't say they're baptizing corpses. Here's a better explanation just so we're all clear: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism_for_the_dead |

... You know that Grandma broke her hip right? They were going to move her today to a transitional rehab place today. Please call her and let her know that you care. The phone number for the place is 689-1600. You will have to ask for her room number. I love you. Are you having a good time? Did you have fun at the Spaghetti Factory? Sounds really fun wish we were there too! |

... I think I explained it well enough. They baptize alive people for dead people. I'm not sure what you think the wrong idea is. Yes, good times with the family. I do know about Grandma, I don't have a car to go see her though. |

... Did you tell him it was by proxy? I know you don't have a car that is why I gave you the phone number. Thanks for being such a good son and I can hardly wait until you and Scott come next month. Love you sweetheart. |
